BMO InvestorLine resumes golf getaway contest

The Bank of Montreal has resumed a contest called the "Ultimate Golf Getaway" to promote its BMO InvestorLine service. Users of the service who participate in a weekly quiz will receive ballots for the grand prize draw. The quizzes will test each entrant's investment knowledge. The winner will receive a choice of three golf trips: St. Andrews in Scotland, Plantation Course in Hawaii or Valderrama in Spain. Secondary prizes will include gift certificates from Golf Town, a set of TaylorMade golf clubs, a collection of golf gadgets and a weekend at a local golf resort. The contest is being promoted with an online golf game. Players are encouraged to refer others to the game and compare scores. Other marketing includes in-branch materials, Web banners and conventional advertising. The promotion will run from Feb. 1 to March 31. This is the fourth year the bank has used this golf contest to promote InvestorLine.
