LCBO BEGINS WINE PROMOTION

The LCBO began a month-long wine promotion in its 600 stores yesterday called "Meet Your Match." The intention of the effort is to demonstrate to consumers that Ontario wines can match any type of food or occassion. The promotion will include 175 white wines, 145 red wines, 13 rose wines, 25 sparkling wines, 20 fortified wines and 19 other wines. Tastings of these products will take place at some LCBO stores. The LCBO is also holding a contest with Henry Birks & Sons and the Diamond Information Centre. Entrants can win a diamond ring from Birks by submitting a ballot from the bottlenecks of participating Ontario wines.
