ONTARIO TOURISM MINISTRY INVITES U.S. VISITORS TO DO TORONTO

The Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Recreation will attempt to attract U.S. visitors in border states to Ontario this summer with a promotional initiative called "Do Toronto." The campaign will begin this week and run until Labour Day, promoting the province's summer events and attractions. The radio and print advertising in U.S. cities such as Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo will feature the RCMP Royal Canadian Mounted Police. A number of promotional activities that also incorporate the RCMP. Officers patrolling downtown Toronto will welcome visitors to the city. Members of the RCMP will also perform the Musical Ride at the Canadian National Exhibition. Campaign materials including themed maps and passports have also been created and will distributed at downtown hotels. The advertising and promotional materials were created by Segal Communications of Toronto. Public relations are being handled by Jesson Artmont Communications of Toronto.
