HALLMARK BUTTERFLY CAMPAIGN RESUMES

Hallmark Canada, based in Willowdale, ON, has resumed a promotional program called "Butterflies are Free." Until Aug. 29, the company will distribute approximately one million free paper butterflies to greeting card buyers at the 300 Hallmark Gold Crown stores in Canada. The butterflies contain a spring-loaded elastic band that is wound-up before the butterfly in enclosed in a card. When the card is opened, the butterfly flutters into the air. Five butterfly designed have been produced: the Coral Hairstreak, the Cassia, the Monarch, the Lustrous and the Adonis Blue. Each will be distributed at a different time. The offer is being promoted with in-store materials and a television campaign that will break on Sunday.
