ROGERS BEGINS ADVERTISING COMPETITION

Rogers Cable has begun an advertising competition for ten 60-second television commercials to promote a new service called Rogers Yahoo Hi-Speed Internet. A creative brief outlining the service has been posted at <http://www.rogers.com/hotshots>. The deadline for submissions is July 5. The winning entries will be announced on July 9. The finished ads must be ready by July 29. The ten winning entries will receive a $25,000 budget that includes production support. The commercials will be used as part of the Rogers Yahoo Hi-Speed Internet launch this summer. The competition is being overseen by Rogers' advertising agency MacLaren McCann. Chocolate Box Entertainment will solicit, select and produce the commercial scripts and storyboards.
