CFL SIGNS INTERNATIONAL BROADCAST AGREEMENT

The Toronto-based Canadian Football League has signed an international broadcast agreement with New York-based Trajectory Sports & Media. Under the agreement, CFL game broadcasts will air the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. Coverage began last week with the start of the 2004 season and will continue through the Grey Cup Championship on Nov. 21. In the U.S., the sports channels of satellite services DirecTV and DISH Network will carry weekly CFL games. In New York and New Jersey, games will also be carried on the Madison Square Garden Network, Fox Sports New York and the Empire Sports Network. In New England, games will be broadcast on the New England Sports Network. European coverage of CFL games will take place on the North American Sports Network. Allied Forces in the Persian Gulf and elsewhere in the Middle East will be able to see weekly CFL games on Fox Sports.
