TIM HORTONS BEGINS TWO CAMPAIGNS

Tim Hortons has released two summer advertising campaigns. The first promotes strawberry and chocolate strawberry tarts. Created by Enterprise Advertising of Toronto, the campaign consists of television, radio and outdoor advertising. In the 30-second TV commercial, a man brings a strawberry tart to his wife. She asks him to go back and bring her a chocolate strawberry tart instead. When he returns, he sees that his wife has also eaten first tart. In the 30-second radio ad, a man and a woman discuss their relationship. The woman says that strawberry tarts with chocolate should automatically go to the woman in a relationship because of "the rule of chocolate." The advertising broke yesterday and will run for four weeks. The second campaign, also created by Enterprise, promotes the Iced Cappuccino drink. The campaign includes one television commercial and two outdoor ads. The 30-second TV commercial depicts a man drinking an Iced Cappuccino as he gets ready for evening guests. When the guests arrive, they see that the man has used the drink cups as patio lanterns. The song "Patio Lanterns" by Kim Mitchell plays as the ad ends. The outdoor ads show a beach umbrella and sand shovel in an Iced Cappuccino cup. The copy reads, "The taste of summer." This campaign will run for eight weeks.
