AFRM2 COMMUNICATIONS MERGES WITH TOP ADVERTISING

Two Toronto agencies, Afrm2 Communications and TOP Advertising, have been merged to create a new firm called Wave. The company is headed by president Nicolette Flemming. Wave will offer advertising, public relations and research services. Seymour Kanowitch has been appointed managing director of public relations and research. According to Bob Richardson, CEO of Wave, no client conflicts resulted from the merger. Clients of the firm include Prime Restaurants, Schneiders Foods, Canada's Walk of Fame, EnWave and SkyDome. "We're expanding our range of services, linking the delivery of all of our services more closely together and bringing on board additional communications experts," said Richardson. "Our goal is to become one of Canada's leading mid-size communications companies."
