AD CAMPAIGN FOR ABSOLUT CUT BEGINS

National television advertising for a new beverage called Absolut Cut began this week. The campaign, created by McCann Worldgroup division Tag Ideation Group, is aimed at young adults. The first ad is called "Spirit Evolved." Additional creative will be released as the campaign progresses. Advertising is scheduled to run throughout the year. The drink, introduced last month, is a mixture of lime, orange, mandarin and Absolut Vodka. It is being produced through a new agreement between V&S Group, which owns the Absolut name and recipe, and Interbrew. In Canada, Absolut Cut is made and distributed by Interbrew subsidiary Labatt Breweries.
