COCA-COLA BEGINS FRIDGE MATE CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
Soft drink company Coca-Cola has begun a television and outdoor advertising campaign in Ontario for its new Fridge Mate packaging. The 12-can box is designed to fit more easily into a refrigerator and dispense cans one at a time. The 30-second television commercial, called "Leftovers," shows a man finding space for the box of cola in his fridge without the need to throw out some leftover food. The outdoor component consists of billboards 10' by 20' in the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton, Ottawa, Kitchener and London. The creative presents a large picture of the packaging with the copy, "Rectangular like your fridge. Go figure." This advertising will be accompanied by in-store materials. The campaign was created by Cossette of Toronto.
