COCA-COLA INTRODUCES FRIDGE MATE PACKAGING

Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Toronto has released a self-dispensing 12-pack for cans called the Fridge Mate. The company describes this as its largest packaging change in ten years. The package is designed to fit in a fridge door and shelf. The Fridge Mate will be released in Ontario first, elsewhere later this year. Coca-Cola brands that will be distributed in the new package include Coca-Cola Classic, Caffeine Free Classic, Vanilla Coke, Diet Vanilla Coke, Diet Coke, Caffeine Free Classic, Diet Coke with Lime, Sprite, Diet Sprite, Barq's Root Beer, Fresca, Canada Dry Ginger Ale, Canada Dry Diet Ginger Ale, Canada Dry Tonic, Canada Dry Club Soda, CPlus Orange and A&W Root Beer. Television and out-of-home advertising for the Fridge Mate will begin next month. This advertising, created by MacLaren McCann of Toronto, will be supported by in-store materials created by Twist.
