PURINA BEGINS PRO PLAN TOUR

Purina has begun a promotion called the 2004 Purina Pro Plan Tour. Managed by Public Dialog of Toronto, the second annual tour will visit specialty retailers and events this summer in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. Promotional workers will distribute pet car advice and samples of Pro Plan pet food. At some events, a trained dog act called the Purina Pro Plan Dog Stars will perform. "The program is designed to develop a database about pets throughout Canada. The information gathered at these events is used for targeted direct marketing programs throughout the year," said Publicis Dialog vice-president and manager Diane Wysocki. Publicis Dialog developed the concept and managed the first tour last year.
