WASTE MANAGEMENT PROMOTES NEW NAME

Waste Management, formerly Canadian Waste Services, began a branding campaign today to introduce its new name to consumers and businesses. Called "Think Green," the campaign consists of print advertising in daily newspapers, consumer business magazines and trade publications. The ads will run until the end of the year. The campaign's imagery will also be extended to the company's vehicles, containers and uniforms. A direct mail effort is also planned. In July two 30-second television commercials will break. These will air on national television networks until October. The advertising was created by Fogarty Klein Monroe of Houston, TX.
