LCBO BEGINS WILDLIFE FUND PROMOTION

The LCBO, in association with approximately 40 beverage alcohol suppliers, has begun a month-long promotion in support of World Wildlife Fund Canada. Called "Help Save the Animals," the initiative is intended to to raise funds for the protection of wildlife species and habitats. Eleven animals are depicted in the campaign creative, which is being displayed in LCBO outlets. Animal images have also been placed on store fixtures, banners, postcards and T-shirts. Two dollars from each T-shirts sale will go to WWF Canada. Participating suppliers will also donate part of the sales from approximately 70 products to the organization. The artwork for the ads was done by wildlife artist B. Michèle. Toronto-based Mental Art create the in-store and other supporting materials.
