CBC NEWS EXPRESS DEBUTS AT PEARSON AIRPORT

Clear Channel Outdoor, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Greater Toronto Airports Authority have introduced a service called "CBC News Express." The service displays news programming and commercials on video screens in some departure lounges and baggage claim areas of Pearson International Airport in Toronto. Screens will also be placed in the infield hold room used by international travellers. The bilingual programming will be updated six times a day. The loop will run for 18 hours each day. The content will include 40 minutes of news and 20 minutes of commercials. Advertising will be sold in 120-, 90-, 60- or 30-second loops over the entire screen or part of the screen. News, business, sports, weather and entertainment content will be provided by CBC. Ad sales will be handled by Clear Channel.
