OWL GOES ON-LINE

Owl Communications of Toronto has put its two children's magazines, Owl and Chickadee, on-line. Wired Owl is geared to children ages eight and up. Users will get a taste of what's in the latest issue of Owl and also find links to other sites on the Internet. Chickadee Net is for children aged three to eight. It also carries items from the printed magazine magazine, along with puzzles, games and jokes submitted by kids. Both sites will carry advertising. The publishing company has another site, called CyberFAMILY. This one lets net surfing families say what's on their minds about family concerns. It addresses safety issues for kids surfing the Internet, and provides links to safety sites. It also publishes a list of Owl products for sale.
