RED CAT MEDIA ACQUIRES STAKE IN KLUBLIFE

Toronto-based Red Cat Media has acquired a minority interest in Klublife Magazine. No financial details are known. Red Cat specializes in place-based media and promotion. Klublife is a monthly music and lifestyle magazine distributed in high schools, universities, restaurants and clothing stores nationally. Klublife Publishing is also based in Toronto. According to Martin Poitras, president of Red Cat, the firm made the deal in an effort to reach a larger demographic. Red Cat now expects to reach 12- to 34-year-olds. Red Cat will also take over national sales for Klublife magazine, the Klublife.com Web site and Klublife's event marketing services.
