MEDIAEDGE:CIA RELEASES PRODUCT PLACEMENT STUDY RESULTS

Media company Mediaedge:cia has released the results of a study on product placement. The survey was conducted by the MediaLab division of Mediaedge:cia. Consumers in 20 countries were polled on how much they notice product placement and whether product placement influenced their purchases. In Canada, 48% of respondents said they noticed brands placed in films, while 55% said they noticed brands placed on television. Canadians were slightly less (26%) receptive than global audiences (29%) to placement as a purchase influencer. Fifty-seven percent of Canadians agreed with the statement that brands are part of normal everyday live and it makes sense to see them in films.
