BLOCKBUSTER AND UNIVERSAL STUDIOS BEGIN DATE PROMOTION

Blockbuster Canada and Universal Studios have begun a contest called "Ultimate Date Night." The promotion will run until March 1. Blockbuster customers who rent or purchase the movie "Intolerable Cruelty" or purchase a Universal movie from an group of eligible titles will entered into a draw for a trip to Paris. The prize includes airfare, accommodation for two and spending money. The contest is being promoted with in-store materials, direct mail to members of Blockbuster's loyalty program, and online at <http://www.blockbuster.ca>. Public relations for Blockbuster are handled by GCI Group of Toronto.
