TELUS BEGINS HOLIDAY CAMPAIGN IN QUEBEC

Telus Quebec has begun a holiday advertising campaign that makes use of La Fontaine fable characters the tortoise and the hare. The campaign, which uses the tagline "A Unique Kind of Christmas," promotes the Telus Globetrotter High Speed Internet service. The campaign uses television and radio commercials, circulars, in-store materials and print ads. It was developed by LXB Communication-Marketing of Montreal. According to the agency, the hare symbolizes the service's speed while the tortoise represents the deferred payment plan. The advertising broke on Nov. 14 and will run until Jan. 4.
