IMPERIAL OIL TESTS VIDEO ADVERTISING

Imperial Oil is testing video advertising at five Esso gas stations in the Greater Toronto Area, according to a report in The Globe and Mail. The ads begin running when the pump nozzle is lifted. The items promoted are on sale in Esso convenience stores. The screens also advertise the company's own products and display messages from non-profit organizations. Imperial will continue testing this concept until as least the end of 2003, according to the report.
