ROGERS NEWS AND BUSINESS GROUP SHUFFLES STAFF

The Rogers Publishing News and Business Group has shuffled a number of staff as part of a management restructuring. Deborah Trepanier has been made associate publisher and general manager of Maclean's magazine. She will remain a vice-president of the News and Business Group. Kathryn Brownlie, vice-president of sales for the group, will now handle all of the group's sales operations. Previously she handled sales for Canadian Business and Profit magazines. Chris Carradine will shortly take on the position of group advertising director, overseeing day-to-day sales for Canadian Business, Profit and MoneySense. Previously he was at Today's Parent. Sandra Parente, advertising director of MoneySense, has been given the additional job of group integration for several unidentified projects. Lorraine Hoefler has been promoted to advertising director of Maclean's and L'actualite in Toronto. Gary Fearnall has been appointed to the new position of Web general manager for the group. Most recently he was a vice-president of sales at Bell GlobeMedia Interactive. The group's Vancouver sales office will be closed at the end of the year. Sales in western Canada, currently handled in Vancouver by outgoing Bill More, will now be the responsibility of Jane Avery, who will also continue in her current position in the company's health care area.
