AWARD SHOW ROUNDUP

Toronto-based Echo Advertising received gold awards at the U.S.-based Telly Awards last week for three campaigns: "Laughing Room Only" in the category "30-second Broadway musical," "Elevator" and "Park" for Dynamic Mutual Funds in the category "30-second financial services," and "Candles" for The Phantom of the Opera in the category "outstanding entertainment TV spot over 25 years." Also, agency president Barry Avich received a gold award in the biography category for the film "Guilty Pleasure: The Extraordinary World of Dominick Dunne." The Telly Awards recognize non-network and cable television commercials.
