SHOPPERS DRUG MART HOSTS PARTY FOR CANADIAN IDOL CONTESTANT

A Shoppers Drug Mart store in the West End Mall in Halifax is planning a birthday party for Gary Beals, a runner-up on the TV show Canadian Idol and a native of Nova Scotia. The event, which will take place on Saturday, will include an appearance by Beals. Customers can sign a large birthday card and have a piece of cake. Also, four draws for Shoppers Drug Mart gift cards worth $100 will take place. Marketing for the event includes local print and radio advertising created by Shoppers Drug Mart. Public relations are being handled by Wilson Associates Public Relations of Toronto.
