FIELD DAY HIRED BY MIGHTY DUCKS AND MAPLE LEAFS

Toronto ad agency Field Day has been hired by hockey teams The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the St. John's Maple Leafs. The agency will develop several marketing and advertising initiatives for each organization. The assignments came as a result of Field Day's work for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and other sports clients, said Lynn Kozak, the firm's director of marketing and PR. The first project the agency completed for each team was the design and execution of their season ticket packages. For the Mighty Ducks, Field Day created a package called "How The West Was Won" which contained a commemorative ticket book, ticket wallets and a DVD of highlights in a decorative box. The St. John's Maple Leafs package used the tagline "The Game Begins Here." The tickets are in the form of hockey trading cards that display the pictures and stories of St. John's fans.
