MCDONALD'S LOVIN' IT CAMPAIGN COMES TO CANADA

McDonald's Restaurants of Canada will begin a new advertising campaign on Monday called "I'm lovin' it." Five television commercials created for the campaign will run nationally in English and French. In the English-language ads, photographs of various scenes from daily life are interspersed with shots of pop singer Justin Timberlake. The global campaign has been adapted for Quebec, where the tagline will be "C'est ca que j'm(MC)." The television and radio advertising will use vocals by Sans Pression with Alee-Boo and DJ Horg. Radio and outdoor creative unique to Canada has also been created. Sixty- and 30-second radio ads will run nationally. Outdoor ads will run in western Canada only. The global campaign was developed by Heye & Partner of Germany. The Canadian adaptation was done by Cossette Communication-Marketing. Public relations for McDonald's are handled by Weber Shandwick Worldwide.
