KIDSFUTURES READIES AD CAMPAIGN, SIGNS ADDITIONAL COMPANIES

Loyalty program KidsFutures is preparing print and radio advertising to promote its upcoming launch on Oct. 1. Members of the program who buy products and services from participating companies will receive cash deposits in a Registered Educational Savings Plan. The program will begin operation in Ontario and expand nationally later in the fall. Full-page colour ads in major daily newspapers in southwestern Ontario will promote the program. The print advertising will breaks on Oct. 1. A radio campaign will begin in the Greater Toronto Area on Oct. 6. KidsFutures has also signed several new companies as participants in the program: Procter and Gamble Canada, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly-Clark, Sony of Canada, Kodak Canada, AOL, Best Western International, Points.com, Chirp, Chickadee and Owl magazines, Hasbro Toys, Color Your World, Lexmark Canada, Hakim Optical and Lewiscraft. Advertising for KidsFutures is done by freelancers. Media planning and buying is handled by Wills & Company of Toronto. Public relations are handled by Weber Shandwick of Toronto.
