QUEBEC ASSOCIATION BEGINS TOBACCO CAMPAIGN

LXB Communication-Marketing has created a Quebec campaign called "De Facto" for the Association régionale du sport étudiant de Québec et de Chaudière-Appalaches. The agency received the assignment at the start of the year when Health Canada agreed to support a pilot campaign for a program LXB created for the association last year. The new initiative will run for six weeks. Aimed at young people in the Quebec City and Chaudière-Appalaches regions, it attempts to describe the control and pressure tobacco companies exercise with young people. The campaign consists of television, radio and theatre advertising, as well as posters and a Web site.
