GCI GROUP APPOINTS VALDMANIS PRESIDENT

Robert Valdmanis will replace Nancy Croitoru as president of Toronto-based GCI Canada. Croitoru is leaving the agency after 20 years to become president and chief executive officer of the Food and Consumer Products Manufacturers of Canada. Valdmanis was previously a principal at the Dilenschneider Group in New York. He will work at GCI's Toronto headquarters. The agency also has a branch in Montreal. Its clients include Mattel, Nestle, Nintendo, AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, Direct Energy, SAS and Dell Canada.
