CRYPKEY READIES PRINT CAMPAIGN FOR SECURITY SOFTWARE

Security software maker CrypKey Canada of Calgary is about to break a new print campaign created by Third Stage Alliance, also of Calgary. The creative displays a picture of "young, rebellious-looking computer hacker" together with the tagline, "It's 1:00 a.m. Do you know where your software is?" The campaign, aimed at the vertical software developer market, will begin with the September issues of North American technology publications. "The ad puts a fresh spin on an established concept as well as on software copy protection metaphors," said Third Stage Alliance vice-president Brigitte Molyneaux. "Many of the traditional safety and security advertising metaphors used in the business are things like padlocks, safes, keys and burglars. We wanted to convey a message that is easy for the target audience to identify with." CrypKey produces software copy protection and software authorization products.
