CFL RE-DESIGNS WEB SITE
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Football League unveiled a re-design of its Web site at <http://www.cfl.ca> on Tuesday. The Toronto-based league used Canoe, which hosts the site, to create a design which incorporates feedback from users, according to Alexis Redmond, director of marketing and communications for the CFL. The content has been re-organized to be more user friendly, and new features include a facts column, a CFL store and a Grey Cup section that will be updated on an ongoing basis. Promotion of the site will also be on an ongoing basis, said Redmond, as the CFL introduces new features. Last month the CFL signed Sun Microsystems as its official technology products and services sponsor. As part of that agreement Sun will develop applications for the league Web site. The original CFL.ca site debuted in 1996. Major changes were made in 1998 and again in 2001.
