CLEARLY CANADIAN BEGINS CONSUMER PROMOTION

Vancouver-based Clearly Canadian will distribute 600,000 specially marked bottles of Clearly Canadian sparkling flavoured water in Canada as part of an instant-win contest called "Discover Clearly Canadian." In May, Clearly Canadian and the Canadian Tourism Commission held a similar promotion in the U.S. The two organizations have now brough the initiative Canada. Five winners will receive trips for two to a participating Westin or Sheraton hotel in Canada. Also, each bottle bears a 10% discount coupon on weekend rates at participating Sheraton and Westin hotels. Point-of-sale materials, pubic relations and merchandising will support the contest. Karacters Design Group and Wreglesworth, both of Vancouver, created the supporting materials.
