UPDATE: IKEA CANADA CONTEST

Home furnishings retailer Ikea Canada, based in Burlington, ON, has picked the winning couple in its "Marry Me Ikea" promotion. The contest is part of the activities for the opening of Ikea's new store in Vaughan, ON on July 30. The winning couple, Cara Moretto and Safraz Rahaman, were selected by random draw from approximately 100 couples who entered the contest. They will be married as part of the store's opening day activities. The ceremony will include transportation by limousine, a red carpet, a Justice of the Peace, flowers and a reception for 30 guests. The bride and groom also receive a $3,500 Ikea shopping spree. Public relations for the Vaughan store opening are being handled by Ashworth Associates of Toronto.
