MCDONALD'S TO OFFER WIRELESS NET ACCESS

McDonald's Restaurants of Canada plans to offer high-speed wireless Internat access at some locations. During the pilot program, wireless "hot spots" will be operated in up to 10 restaurants around the country. Currently two McDonald's locations in Mississauga and Toronto offer this service. Additional locations in the Greater Toronto Area, Montreal and Vancouver are being considered, according to the company. Upon request, customers will receive 45 minutes of access with a minimum $3.00 food purchase. McDonald's will promote the availability of the service with in-restaurant materials. Public relations for the chain are handled by Weber Shandwick Worldwide of Toronto.
