HONDA CANADA PROMOTES CIVIC

Toronto-based Honda Canada is promoting the Civic with a new multimedia campaign. Television advertising began in mid-May with creative adapted from American Honda. It was produced by Muse Cordero Chen & Partners of Los Angeles. The commercial shows a group of people driving in a Honda Civic. Other Civics fall into a line behind the first vehicle. The ad ends with the words "Civic Nation. Represent" displayed on the screen. Thirty- and 60-second versions of the ad are running nationally in English and French. The ad is also being displayed in Famous Players theatres. The campaign also included English-language radio advertising using the "Civic Nation" theme. The television advertising will run until the end of the month. The radio advertising concluded its four-week run on Friday. Print ads will break in the last week of June. The radio and print creative was developed by Bos Toronto.
