PARALLEL HIRED BY EDO JAPAN

Calgary-based Parallel has been appointed agency of record by Japanese restaurant chain Edo Japan. Parallel will provide branding, strategy, planning, creative, design and media services to the chain's franchises in Canada and the U.S. According to the restaurant chain, its strategy will include an integrated marketing plan with in-store promotional activities, targeted media campaigns and public relations. Tom Donaldson, president of Edo Japan, said Parallel was selected, "Because they demonstrated the same enthusiasm and commitment to building our business as our employees and franchisees." Edo Japan operates 90 franchise and four corporate-owned locations in Canada, the U.S. and Australia.
