GIRL GUIDES MAKE COOKIE DEAL WITH SHOPPERS DRUG MART

The Girl Guides of Canada have formed a new retail sales arrangement with Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix. Boxes of the organization's chocolate and vanilla cookies will be sold in Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix nationally beginning Friday. The sale will continue until the end of the month. Shoppers Drug Mart is promoting the sale of Girl Guide cookies in its stores with point-of-purchase, flyer and Web advertising created in-house. The Girl Guides began their spring fundraising campaign in January with door-to-door cookie sales. Approximately 3.5 million boxes have been sold, according to the organization. Public relations for Shoppers Drug Mart and Girl Guides are handled by Optimum Public Relations of Toronto.
