DENTURIST CAMPAIGN

The Denturist Association of Ontario is launching a TV campaign with teeth in mid-June. The organization represents denturists - creators of full and partial dentures. Three 15-second commercials, created by Quarto Advertising of Peterborough, Ont., will run on CBC targeting people 35 to 54-years-old. The first spot shows a hockey player grimacing at the camera. Suddenly, a puck flies off the ice and hits him in the mouth. He then turns to the camera to show his new smile, now minus one front tooth. The commercial ends with the tag line, "Had a falling out? Visit your Denturist." The second spot shows a woman at a family picnic. She is offered a plate of corn and apples but has to refuse both because her dentures make it too painful to chew such food. The spot ends with the tag line, "Once bitten, twice shy? Visit your Denturist." The final spot features an older man in front of a mirror getting ready for a date. He straightens his tie, positions his dentures, which are a little loose, and leans over to check his bald spot. Then his dentures fall out into the bathroom sink. The spot ends with "Losing your grip? Visit your Denturist." The TV campaign will be supported by newspaper ads placed by denturists. The ads were created by Quarto Advertising of Peterborough, Ont.
