SLEEMAN INTRODUCES NEW PACKAGING IN QUEBEC

Sleeman Breweries is rolling out new packaging for its Cream Ale, Light and Honey Brown beers in Quebec. Earlier this month the brewer began distributing those products in cans rather than glass bottles. The cans have been used in Ontario since last year. Full distribution to Quebec supermarkets and convenience stores is expected to be complete within three weeks, according to Eric Vincent, marketing manager of La Brasserie Sleeman du Quebec. Marketing support for the new packaging will include in-store materials created in-house and radio advertising created by Diesel. The radio campaign will begin next month. It will include a tag promoting the new packaging. Public relations for Sleeman in Quebec are handled by Suzanne Ricard Communications of Montreal.
