TIM HORTONS PROMOTES ICED CAPPUCCINO

Tim Hortons is promoting Iced Cappuccino drinks as a way to stay cool in a new advertising campaign for the spring and summer. The advertising is running nationally in Canada and in U.S. markets where Tim Hortons is present. The campaign consists of two television commercials, one radio ad and outdoor advertising. The creative presents the product as a simple way to stay cool during the summer. In one TV ad, two roommates attempt to install an air conditioner. A third roommate drinking an Iced Cappuccino says, "Well good luck with that." At the end of the ad, the roommates are sitting on a couch, drinking Iced Cappuccinos and using the air conditioner as a foot rest. "It does make a good coffee table," says one. In the radio ad a woman gives directions to a man. The man says he has to take a break. The woman asks if he really needs it. The man says, "Hey, this is hot, back-breaking work." The woman says, "Honey, they're just lawn chairs." The campaign will run for the next four months.
