Scott Thornley + Company of Toronto has designed a brochure for the 2003-2004 dance program of the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. The cover of the 24-page brochure bears an image from a multimedia show called "Shazam" by Philippe Decouflé that will be part of the coming season. It also displays a new wordmark based on the English and French words for "dance" that calls attention to the letters N, A and C. The interior of the brochure contains photographs intended to highlight the international nature of the dance program line-up, which will include 39 performances by 18 companies from Germany, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, Venezuela, the Czech Republic, China, France, the United States and Canada. "Scott Thornley + Company's design for our brochure beautifully reflects the lyricism and emotions of the diverse dance program we offer at the NAC," said the centre's producer of dance programming, Cathy Levy. The agency also has other work in hand for the National Arts Centre, including a large banner for the building's exterior, lightbox posters, a subscription flyer, invitations and busboard ads. According to the agency, a print campaign is also under development. Last month the agency created a logo and wordmark for the centre's "Atlantic Scene" culture festival.
