SOURCE FOR SPORTS HIRES OK&D

Source For Sports of Burlington, ON has appointed OK&D Integrated Agency Brands, also of Burlington, its agency of record. Source For Sports is a national buying and marketing organization owned by its 125 independent member sporting goods stores. Five other unidentified agencies from the Greater Toronto Area were also considered in the eight-week process preceding the selection of OK&D. The assignment includes national and regional media, promotions, event marketing, public relations, Web site alterations, Yellow Pages advertising, direct mail and in-store merchandising, all of which will be handled by various OK&D divisions. "We selected OK&D because of their complete set of integrated skills and tools, which we expect will bring more value for our marketing dollar," said Source For Sports marketing manager Paul LaVigne. "We're building a relationship for the long term." According to OK&D partner Len Olynyk, the national brand strategy will focus on the independent store owners' knowledge of their local markets.
