MBS RETAINS GOVERNMENT OF ONTARIO MEDIA ACCOUNT

Media Buying Services of Toronto has retained the Government of Ontario's media business. The incumbent was one of five firms considered for the three-year contract in a review conducted by the Ontario Advertising Review Board. The other contenders were Genesis Media, M2 Universal, OMD Canada and Starcom MediaVest Group. The contract includes domestic and international print, broadcast and other media buying for government advertising programs. In related news, a decision in the promotions agency competition for the Ministry of Agriculture and Food is expected soon. The agencies up for the business are Fuse Marketing, Marketing Drive Worldwide, Otis Sauter Leger Marketing, Proximity Canada and WSP International. The winning agency will provide sales promotion services including strategic planning, creative development, production and evaluation of consumer and retail trade promotions.
