THERE'LL BE MORE OF GRANDMA'S COOKING

The restaurant chain that touts itself as cooking just like Grandma is opening more outlets in Ontario and Quebec. Grandma Lee's of Mississauga, Ont. has made an agreement allowing Penny Sahi and Sagar Aggarwal, both of Ottawa, to franchise out 35 restaurants in both provinces. This is a 10-year plan. Sahi already operates other restaurants, which a Grandma Lee's spokesperson declined to name this week. Aggarwal is a developer who also owns several gas stations. The new restaurants will begin opening within the next three months. Grandma Lee's is also looking for franchisors to expand into the Maritimes during 1996. The chain runs print and radio advertising which it handles in-house. Grandma Lee's has 91 family style outlets in Canada, three in the U.S. and six in Australia.
