MARRIOTT AND INTEL PROMOTE HOTEL INTERNET SERVICE
By Adnews Staff
Marriott International and Intel are promoting wireless high-speed Internet access in 400 of the hotel company's locations. The service is available in Marriott, Renaissance, Courtyard, Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, Fairfield Inn and SpringHill Suites hotels in Canada, the U.S., the United Kingdom and Germany. The joint marketing program includes advertising, direct mail and in-hotel signage, the latter used to identify wireless Internet zones in the individual properties. Currently approximately 200 Marriott hotels offer the service. Installations in 200 more properties will take place this spring. Those properties include the Ottawa Marriott, the Montreal Ritz-Carlton, the Calgary Marriott, the Toronto Marriott Bloor-Yorkville and the Toronto Airport Marriott. Public relations for Marriott in Canada are handled by Fleishman-Hillard. Public relations for Intel of Canada are handled by Cohn & Wolfe.
