ALIAS URBAN MARKETING CREATES TEXT MESSAGING CAMPAIGN FOR CITYTV VANCOUVER

Alias Urban Marketing of Vancouver has prepared a regional text messaging campaign for Citytv Vancouver. The campaign will run from Feb. 1 to 18 to coincide with the lead up to the final episode of reality television show "The Bachelorette" on Feb. 19. During the campaign, the station's viewers will be encouraged to predict the Bachelorette's final choice by sending a text message by cellular telephone. A special Web site, accessible through <http://www.citytv.com>, has also been created. Visitors to the site can register to receive news about the show. The campaign also includes two contests. The winner of the first will receive a trip for two to New York. The winner will be chosen from entrants whose prediction proves correct. The second contest will award Samsung cellular phones and an invitation to the stations Bachelorette finale party to 10 entrants who registered with the Web site. The campaign is one of the first from Alias Urban Marketing, the new youth marketing division of Cossette Communication Group.
