By Adnews Staff
The Ontario Northland Transportation Commission has is down to four firms in its search for an agency of record. The winning agency will develop the 2003 marketing and communications plan for the provincial Crown Corporation's transportation services, which include the Polar Bear Express, Little Bear Express and Northlander. A request for proposals by the commission resulted in 22 submissions, according to Guy Lamarche, director of marketing for Ontario Northland. Of the agencies on the shortlist, two are from northern Ontario and two are from southern Ontario. Lamarche would not disclose the names of the agencies. Proposals from the four are due by Feb. 3. A final decision is expected shortly after that. Previously Ontario Northland used Zero Gravity of North Bay, ON on a project basis. Zero Gravity did submit a proposal, Lamarche said.
