ADVOCIS APPOINTS VERTIAS

Advocis has hired Veritas Communications of Toronto as its public relations agency of record. Advocis the name of the entity created by the merger of the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Canadian Association of Financial Planners. This merger will become official on Jan. 1, 2003. Veritas has worked for the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors for the past year. It received the Advocis assignment based on that work. Steve Howard, CEO of Advocis, said Veritas will implement an integrated communications program intended to raise awareness of the new organization. Advertising for Advocis will be handled in-house.
