ONTARIO LOTTERY BREAKS NEW TELEVISION SPOTS
By Adnews Staff
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. has released two new television commercials that highlight the ways in which lottery proceeds benefit the people of Ontario. The creative uses the scratching motion associated with scratch and win lottery tickets to uncover images that illustrate the corporation's benefits to the community. In the first ad, called "Stairs," the scratching effect reveals a wheelchair ramp in front of St. Mary's Home in Ottawa. In the second ad, called "Horse," the scratching effect reveals a springboard at the Apollo Gymnastics Club in North Bay. A third commercial called "Mat" has yet to be released. In it, a pair of child's shoes are uncovered in the hallway of a home. The television ads were created by Palmer Jarvis DDB of Toronto. They are part of a larger print campaign, also created by Palmer Jarvis, that began in February. A number of the ads from the print campaign will return to accompany the television spots. The advertising will run for the remainder of 2002.
