GENERAL MOTORS OF CANADA EXTENDS PONTIAC GMC CUP SPONSORSHIP

General Motors of Canada has extended its sponsorship of the Pontiac GMC Cup Series through 2006. The car maker's existing four-year sponsorship of the alpine ski race expired this year. The financial details are not known. As part of the deal Canadian Alpine Ski Team members will receive the use of GM's wind tunnel in Warren, MI. The 2003 Pontiac GMC Cup will begin in January in Alberta. The championships will take place in Whistler, BC from March 18 to 27, 2003.
